Since launching our WORK PRO SoundNut loudspeaker range, we have been delighted with the response we've had from customers who really like the high quality audio delivered by these pendant speakers, especially in acoustically challenging environments. 

Customers also like being able to customise the look of these high quality speakers to suit the installations they are supplying. The main part of the enclosure is available in black or white but the upper part can be personalised using a hydro dipping paint technique. This allows customers to choose not only the colour they want, but also a simulated textured such as wood or stone.

One company making good use of the SoundNut range is VideoCentric Ltd., an award-winning end to end UK solutions integrator for both the private and public sectors. After being introduced to the range by our local distributor, Polar UK, VideoCentric successfully used SoundNut 400W SN8 speakers for two projects, one with 14 speakers and another using 18.

VideoCentric's technical team thoroughly evaluated the SN8 speakers before use and agreed they met all the requirements for both projects. These included features such as voice intelligibility and musical clarity, particularly in acoustically challenging environments where high ceilings were creating reverberant soundfields. 

Key to VideoCentric's choice was SoundNut's ability to deliver good dispersion, clear and precise audio and 100V and low impedance. The company also needed the audio to work in multiple zones of large, multi-use/configurable spaces and have an attractive modern design that would work discreetly against black and white ceilings. 

Andy Worn, Senior Installation Engineer at VideoCentric, says: "The SN8s were easy to install safely onsite. They looked neat - one simple 4 core cable with some very simple instructions. The unit itself was high quality with an easily detachable grill to make sure the logo is the correct way around, and very sturdy".  

For the installation that required 18 speakers, VideoCentric powered the system using a WORK PRO PA 4150 L amplifier. Six futher SN8 speakers were used in a separate area and these were powered by a WORK PRO PA 2120 L amplifier. 

VideoCentric's second SN8 installation utilised a WORK PRO PA 4150 L to power speakers in three separate rooms. Two channels were used for the main room, which has eight speakers, and a single channel was used for the other two areas with two and four speakers respectively. 

The SoundNut range includes four speakers models, the 500W SN10, the 400W SN8, the 250W SN6 and the 60W SN3. Their co-axial drivers are 10-inch, eight-inch, six-inch and three-inch respectively. There is also the 1000W SN8 SUB, and eight-inch subwoofer, that can be incorporated into any system when there is a need for low frequency enhancement.
